An editor that gets out of the way
Plain .md files
Every note is a file, every folder a real folder. Point Twiddle at an existing vault and it just opens. No database, no export step, no lock-in.
Wiki-links and backlinks
Write [[Another note]] and Twiddle links it, creating the file if it doesn't exist yet. Backlinks appear on their own, so structure emerges as you write.
Tags that filter
A #tag anywhere in a note becomes a filter in the sidebar. Combine it with folders to slice the same vault two ways.
Command palette
⌘P finds any note, runs any action, and shows the shortcut next to it — so the palette teaches you the keyboard as you use it.
Five palettes, two modes
Paper, Slate, Ember, Graphite and Phosphor, each in light and dark. Follows your system by default; pin one if you'd rather.
Yours offline
A 13 MB native app on macOS and Windows, and an installable web app on everything else. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
